Kristin Theiss is a dynamic career coach who has over 10 years of experience working in Human Resources (HR) in both the corporate and nonprofit sectors. During her time at Room to Read, an award winning multimillion-dollar nonprofit, she oversaw global Recruitment and Training & Development. In her role, she played an integral role in growing the organization from 70 employees to 600 within 6 years’ time.

During her career, she has interacted with countless job seekers and worked with hundreds of hiring managers across numerous fields. With her background in Training & Development, she knows how to meet people where they are and equip them with the tools needed to meet their goals. She’s passionate about working with people and brings creativity, strategy and extensive HR knowledge to best serve each client’s unique needs.

Throughout her career she often noticed a mismatch between employer expectations and candidate behavior. After many years spent informally helping job seekers to improve their job search strategies and noticing their successful results, she was inspired to launch Lasting Impressions Career Services. The company is founded on the belief that if candidates can create lasting impressions throughout the recruitment process, those impressions will continuously open new doors throughout their careers.
